UPDATE: Boil order issued until further notice for flood-struck area

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Glenwood Municipal Utilities has issued a boil order for residents in an area that is still recovering from flood damage. They say the order will be in effect until further notice and ask that people avoid using drains and toilets as well.

New location additions on Tuesday, April 23rd (Crews working to restore service):

-190th from Highway 34 to Jesup
-Maple Street North of Washington

From original news release:

Water is being restored for clean-up purposes. There is currently no sanitary sewer available (to prevent back-up in your house please refrain from using your drains and toilets.) We are working side by side with The City of Pacific Junction to restore the sanitary sewer ASAP. Boil order is in effect beginning Monday April 22, 2019 for the city of Pacific Junction and the 190th Corridor until further notice. If you have been without water we are working to restore your service. This will happen in sections (SECTION UPDATED DAILY). We are working to restore service to the following locations today:

  • Kane Ave
  • Elm St.
  • Washington from Elm-4th St.
  • 4th St from Washington-Gleason
  • 4th St. Gleason to Front
  • Front St. North to the interstate

If you have questions about when your service will be restored please contact our office. If you are located in one of the areas above and would like to have your service turned on please come to our office to set up your service. REMEMBER THE BOIL ORDER IS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!!! BOIL, BOIL, BOIL! Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation during this time.
