OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraskans are still recovering from the floods in March. Since it happened, simple things like taking a familiar route to work and school have been impossible for many. Thanks to a 91-day repair project, the people of Nickerson (a small town north of Fremont and west of Blair) will finally be able to skip the detour.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) says N-91 reopens today. The roadway will be reopened to a signal lane with flagging operations during continuing repairs but they say both lanes should be open this Friday.
N-91 had was closed for traffic since March 15 and cost $1.8 million to repair.
