OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are searching for a Ford van involved in a hit and run Tuesday morning.

At 10:05 a.m., officers were dispatched to 93rd and Maple St. for a personal injury crash. Witnesses say a white 2005 Ford Econoline van with a raised roof was traveling eastbound on Maple, driving recklessly.

The vehicle made an abrupt lane change, drove over a curb and struck an adult female pedestrian, 29-year-old Sade M. Watkins, walking on the south sidewalk along Maple St.

The van fled, running red lights at 93rd and 90th St., continuing eastbound. OPD says the van should have front-end damage.

Watkins was transported to CHI Bergan and is being treated for multiple fractures to a leg and a laceration to her hip. Her injuries are not considered life threatening.

Anyone who sees the van is asked to contact 911 or Crimestoppers at 402-444-7867.
