PACIFIC JUNCTION, Iowa. (KMTV) — When the Mills County Sheriff's Office K9 unit attempted a traffic stop in Pacific Junction, a male driver and female passenger lead police on a pursuit for nearly 35 minutes, reaching speeds of approximately 120mph.
The traffic stop was attempted at 4th and Washington Streets in Pacific Junction. The vehicle didn't stop and tried to elude law enforcement for more than a half hour.
After law enforcement deployed multiple sets of 'stop sticks,' the vehicle was disabled.
Chistopher McDaniel, 29, of Pacific Junction, and 27-year-old Shialea Cozad of Council Bluffs were taken into custody without further incident.
Both parties were taken to Mills County Jail on numerous charges, a press release from the sheriff's office says.
