OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The Douglas County Health Department reported 511 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, upping the total in the county since the pandemic began to 51,326.
Due to the holiday, the new cases include those that have come in over the past two days.
The Douglas County Health Department didn't report any new coronavirus deaths on Saturday, leaving that tally at 455. The county says 30,208 residents have recovered from coronavirus.
As of the most recent report on Friday, medical and surgical beds in the county were at 69% occupancy with 472 beds available and adult ICU beds are occupied at a 64% rate with 120 beds available.
There were 271 individuals hospitalized who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, with 80 of them receiving adult ICU level care. There are also 16 more persons of interest (generally waiting
for test results).
Forty-two individuals who were confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19 were on ventilators.
