GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KMTV) - A COVID-19 May Day basket is being sent from Omaha to Grand Island, making its way to the Hall County Jail.
Mother and Others, a local faith-based group, focuses on immigration justice. The May Day basket will be sent to those immigrant detainees, along with the care givers.
One volunteer says it's an effort to remind them they are not forgotten during the pandemic
The basket contained roughly 300 masks, several hundred chocolate kisses and spring flowers.
