OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Coronavirus has disrupted our daily lives, including how we celebrate holidays and special occasions.

With Cinco de Mayo Tuesday, Omaha Performing Arts is offering a virtual celebration to get into the spirit.

Omaha Performing Arts will be hosting a Facebook Live concert with a local mariachi group. They encourage people to sit back, listen and enjoy.

Alexis Aria, the singer of the mariachi band performing Tuesday, has been a contestant on American Idol, The Voice, and other reality shows.

She says the pandemic has forced musicians to get creative when performing without crowds.

Omaha Performing Arts offers free virtual concerts on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well.
