OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Douglas County Health Department says a supply shortage has caused the COVID-19 testing clinic at 50th and G St to temporarily close.

Clinic partners are actively pursuing new testing materials; however, until the new materials are received, the clinic will be closed.

Those who are scheduled for testing on Sunday or Monday should wait to be notified of a new test date, according to the DCHD.

The health department says every effort will be made to notify those who have appointments of the changes.

Anyone who has signed up for testing at the 50th and G site should contact their health care provider about being tested.

People with symptoms should self-isolate immediately and contact their health care provider.

The DCHD says an announcement on reopening will be made as soon as possible.

They add that it's extremely important to remember to protect yourself and those around you during the 4th of July holiday weekend.
