OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — After he pleaded no contest to second-degree murder charges in November, Tyron Wells, 14, was sentenced to 22-45 years in prison Wednesday morning for the shooting death of 17-year-old Zachary Parker.

Authorities say Parker and another 17-year-old teen injured in the incident were in a car near 25th and Crown Point to meet the 15-year-old for the purpose of purchasing marijuana. The unidentified juvenile suspect got in the vehicle to sell the drugs, authorities say, when Wells allegedly pulled a gun, made threats and shot Parker.
