Council Bluffs Police have made a second arrest in connection with a deadly shooting less than 24 hours after it happened.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says 19-year-old Ben Lein, of Council Bluffs, faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and first-degree robbery.
Investigators say they wanted him for questioning and found him around 10:30 a.m. as he was walking along 1700 block of N 16th Street.
That’s about two miles from where the evening before one person was shot and killed and another was injured.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. at 116 Glen Ave., according to police.
Anthony Walker, 22, was found dead with a gunshot wound in the upper chest. A second victim, 32-year-old Patrick Schutz went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper left arm.
Police arrested 22-year-old Wesley Correa-Carmenaty after a traffic stop near Bluff and Pierce streets.
Police say Correa-Carmenaty tried to get rid of a BB gun and a handgun before stopping, but police were able to find them.
He is also charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and first-degree robbery.
