OMAHA, Neb. — Archbishop George Lucas spent his Thanksgiving giving back to the Omaha community at the Stephen Center in Omaha.

The Stephen Center offered Thanksgiving dinners for 300 Stephen Center heroes - addiction recovery individuals, homeless families and others.

The center offered full service and all of the food was donated by the local community.

The Omaha Archbishop has been volunteering at the center for about nine years and is grateful to spread joy around the holidays.

"I'm really grateful that there's a place like this, other places in the community too, where folks that don't have too many connections or resources have a safe place to be on Thanksgiving and a way to celebrate with the rest of us," Archbishop Lucas said.

Volunteers at the center also said they were happy to help and loved havinga chance to give back to the community.
