Arrests made in connection with early Sunday homicide

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Two people have been arrested in connection with killing 20-year-old Playontae Wilson, according to Omaha Police.

Around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the area of Arbor Villa Apartments at 2506 S 61st St for a shots fired call where officers found Wilson deceased.

Omaha Police Homicide Detectives identified the suspect as Shane Holbert, 21. Holbert was located and arrested without incident.

Holbert was booked into Douglas County Corrections for charges of 1st Degree Murder, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Theft by Unlawful Taking >$1500, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Robbery.

Homicide detectives arrested a second suspect, 26-year-old Adrian Jones, Jr., who was booked into Douglas County Corrections for criminal homicide.
