OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — This week, two men linked to Rudy Guliani and President Trump were arrested on finance campaign charges for allegedly funneling foreign money into U.S. elections. One of the men arrested, Igor Fruman, donated funds to Congressman Don Bacon according to his political Director.

Bacon's Political Director Kyle Clark sent us this quote when we contacted his office:

"The campaign received funds through a joint fundraising committee in 2018 from Igor Fruman. These funds were not solicited, and neither the Congressman nor any of his staff have met with Mr. Fruman or Mr. Parnas.

Once Congressman Bacon discovered the illegality of these donations, he chose to donate those funds to local charities aimed at helping women and ending sex trafficking. Those charitable donations will be sent immediately."
