OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Monday afternoon, a fire battalion chief was responding to a house fire when his SUV was hit in the intersection near 42nd and Leavenworth, causing the vehicle to flip on its side.
The chief was transported to UNMC in serious condition as a precaution.
He was the only person transported from the scene.
Omaha Police Department accident investigators investigated, as they do each time a city vehicle is involved in a crash.
