Former State Senator Bill Kintner is considering a run for Sarpy County assessor. Kintner resigned from the unicameral in January after he admitted to using his work computer to have cyber sex with a woman who was not his wife in 2015.
In 2017, Kintner re-tweeted a tweet about the Women's March that many found offensive.
If Kintner does run, he would face current assessor Dan Pittman in the Republican primary in May. Pittman is running for his sixth term.
