Bond Set for Chase Suspect

Posted

The man police say threatened his own brother with a hatchet and led officers on a chase last Wednesday night appeared in court Monday.

A judge set Steven Carlson's bond at $270,000 on several charges.

Police say Carlson tried to hit two officers with his car when they made contact with him.

A pursuit went into Council Bluffs and ended in the Old Market.

At one point, law enforcement used stop sticks to disable the vehicle.

Carlson is also accused of putting a hatchet to his brother's throat.

Police used pepperballs and a K9 to subdue him.
