A young Iowa boy is fighting for his life after being involved in a dirt bike accident near Tabor.
Mills County Sheriff's and local emergency responders went to the rural home outside of Tabor, IA for the accident.
The call came in just after 11am Wednesday near Highway 275 and Quigg Avenue northeast of Tabor.
Authorities say a male juvenile was riding a dirt bike when he lost control and went into a ditch that was full of trees. He had to be freed from the trees by emergency responders. The boy was taken by helicopter to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
The Tabor Volunteer Fire Department, Malvern Volunteer Fire Dept., and Mills County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
The boy's identity and age haven’t been released.
He was still listed in critical condition at last check.
