The Greater Omaha Chamber is making a small jump to a bigger space, heading to Conagra campus sometime in the first part of 2018.
“We considered modifying our current space to accommodate our growth, but the cost to modify our building, and the great partnership from Conagra led us to this location.” said David G. Brown, Chamber president and CEO, in a press release. “The Conagra space checked all the boxes, and it’s going to help us be an even more effective champion for our community.”
The Chamber has been located 1301 Harney St.
“Our thanks to Conagra for helping us achieve a mutually beneficial outcome. Not only will the Chamber have plenty of space to grow, this move will accelerate the resurgence of the Conagra property and make the existing Chamber site available for development, from Harney to Howard on 13th Street, to additional downtown redevelopment opportunities,” said Dana Bradford, chair of the Chamber’s building committee.
Renovation work is expected to commence immediately, the release states. DLF Group will be the architect on the project, with a general contractor selected following a formal process.
