Douglas County prosecutors have filed charges against a Sarpy County prosecutor for a domestic incident on July 4th.
Jennifer Hessig now faces two counts of third degree domestic assault and five counts of negligent child abuse. Police arrested Hessig and her husband, Bellevue Police Detective Harold Hessig after the incident at their Papillion home. Prosecutors declined to file charges against him.
Douglas County reviewed the case due to a conflict of interest in Sarpy County. Jennifer Hessig remains on administrative leave from the Sarpy County Attorney's Office.
