OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — CHI Health is partnering with the Salvation Army for the Layers of Love effort.
The Salvation Army's Winter Night Watch program takes warm clothing and hot meals directly to those in need on the streets. The program is in desperate need of new or gently used items.
Event-goers to the Harlem Globetrotters or the Creighton men's basketball game are encouraged to bring cold weather items. The items most needed are socks, gloves, hats, scarves, coats, and sweaters. Bins will be placed at the CHI Health Center to drop off items.
The event takes place Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m-6 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 3rd from 10 a.m-4 p.m.
