The plan for a rapid bus transit service will go before the Omaha City Council Tuesday.
The city is looking to take steps toward approving a 20-year lease agreement that would bring faster travel on Dodge Street between Westroads and downtown.
The plan calling for adding a total of 25 high-tech stations, which would have kiosks for ticket purchases and passengers would be able to follow the location of buses using GPS tracking.
The goal is to have the service on city streets sometime in 2020.
