ELKHORN, NE — What started as a clothing drive for those in need in Elkhorn before the floods hit has turned into a much more needed event.
The non-profit Womenade of Elkhorn turned their clothing drive into a regional clothing giveaway for anyone affected by the floods.
Thousands of clothing articles are available at the Elkhorn School District's Teacher Training Conference Center located at 20650 Glenn Street. The giveaway will continue until March 29th.
Students on spring break are volunteering at the center.
Womenade clothing drive chairperson Theresa Johnson says the group does not need any more donations. They just want to get the word out that the resource is available to those in need.
The hours of operation for those who need clothing are:
Thursday, March 21st to Friday, March 22nd – 9 am to 7 pm
Saturday, March 23rd – 9 am to 4 pm
Sunday, March 24th to Friday, March 29th - 9 am to 7 pm
