In a somber morning at the Des Moines statehouse as the community honored six fallen officers, including Pottawattamie County deputy Mark Burbridge.
Burbridge was shot and killed a year ago when an inmate attacked him while being transported to the jail.
The event was part of the annual Iowa Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony and Iowa governor Kim Reynolds was in attendance.
