OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Many celebrated Mardi Gras Tuesday night, which means Fat Tuesday is now over.
And now, it's Ash Wednesday, which for some means time at church. But not everyone in Omaha had to go inside a church to celebrate the holy day.
Countryside Church provided drive-thru Ash Wednesday services in the morning. It all happened at the new church at the Tri-Faith Initiative near 132nd and Pacific.
The service was between 7-8:30 a.m. and included a brief chat, blessings and ashes, all from your car.
This was the church's first year of drive-thru service. They said they're excited about growing the program.
