OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating the cause of a crash that left one person dead.
Around 1 a.m., officers reported a car was driving on South 28th Street from Martha Street when the vehicle left the roadway, hitting a stop sign, fence, and then a tree. The driver, 22-year-old Austin Johnson, was transported to Nebraska Medicine where he was pronounced dead.
Police blocked off traffic in the area for more than two hours.
