OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — 6:15 p.m. update:

The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) says they've recovered a vehicle and arrested a 15-year old following a pursuit Wednesday afternoon.

Around 2:45 p.m., a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Equinox on Hwy 75 for speeding near Ames Ave. The Equinox had previously been reported stolen, according to NSP.

The vehicle fled and a trooper initiated a pursuit.

Following a short pursuit, the vehicle entered the parking lot of Saratoga Integrated Learning Program at 25th and Meredith Ave. where the vehicle stopped and both occupants fled on foot.

One occupant ran into the school, which was not in session; however, a lockdown was put in place for those still inside the school.

One subject ran out of the school and was taken into custody.

Additional troopers and Omaha Police Officers searched the school for the other juvenile who had fled, but were unable to locate them. They are believed to be female, NSP says.

The 15-year-old female who was arrested was driving the Equinox. She was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center.
