OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Making his first appearance in court on first-degree sexual assault charges, Fontenelle Elemtentary first-grade teacher Gregory Sedlacek, 30, admitted he had previously made inappropriate contact with several other students during his teacher career.
Sedlacek was reported earlier this week for a Nov. 20 incident in which he was touching a 7-year-old girl's buttocks while sitting on a slide with her.
According to prosecutors, Sedlacek listed other students he had inappropriately touched in his years teaching at the Pine Ridge Reservation and Omaha's Sacred Heart. Deacon Tim McNeil says there is no record of Sedlack's employment at the school but believes he did briefly work at Holy Name School.
Sedlacek is being held without bail and faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
