OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) -- — A local brewery and distillery is giving hand sanitizer to people for free.
The line was more than a block long outside Brickway Brewery and Distillery in the Old Market.
Hundreds of people brought their own containers to get free hand sanitizer that was distilled at their facility.
They’ve donated 600 gallons of the cleaner to first responders, health care professionals, and others over the last few weeks.
People can make free-will donations when they’re getting it.
“I never would’ve imagined the need to be this great. I would say by the end of the week we probably will have exceeded 1,500 gallons of hand sanitizer,” said Zac Triemert of Brickway Brewery and Distillery.
They’ll continue making hand sanitizer and distributing it to the public as long as they can continue to get those raw materials they need.
