OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you use Hy-Vee's gas pumps or shop at their restaurants, you may need to monitor your bank account for possible fraud. Hy-Vee says they are investigating payment card data systems after detecting "unauthorized activity on some of our payment processing systems."

They say people who shop in-store shouldn't have reason to worry as the affected systems are those used for their "fuel pumps, drivethru coffee shops, and restaurants (which include our Market Grilles, Market Grille Expresses and the Wahlburgers locations that Hy-Vee owns and operates)."

Hy-Vee says they believe action taken since making the discovery has put a stop to the suspicious activity but are warning people to keep an eye on their accounts.

They say the investigation is being is being carried out with the help of "leading cybersecurity firms" and have no other information to report at this time.
