Mills County prosecutors have upgraded charges against a mother who allegedly caused her 8-year-old daughter's death.
Misty Frazier, 34, nows faces a second-degree murder charge in addition to child endagerment resulting in death and giving prescription drugs to a minor.
The girl was found unconscious last October and later died at a Council Bluffs hospital.
Fraizer's bond was set at $60,000 and she is due back in court next Monday.
