OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The senate's oldest Republican is not attending the 2020 Republican National Convention. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley said he will sit out this convention due to concerns about coronavirus.
Grassley is 86 years old and is the senate's longest-serving Republican. He is third in the line of presidential succession, after the Vice President and House Speaker.
The president plans on holding a full-scale convention next month in Jacksonville, Florida.
