A group of Iowa Veterans will head to the nation's capitol to see memorials honoring their service to the country this fall.
Two planes out of Des Moines will take up to 250 veterans to Washington D.C. on September 12, 2017.
The flights are paid for through various donations totaling $370 thousand.
Organizers of Central-Iowa Honor Flight say this is the 13th flight and this one is just for Vietnam Veterans.
