OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Thursday some of Omaha's homeless got a special treat from an area business. Kona Ice brought their truck, from Lincoln to the Siena/Francis House on Nicholas Street to hand out free icy treats.
The Kona Ice visit was paid for by United Healthcare, who also provides a housing navigator for the campus each Wednesday. The housing navigator works to help connect homeless individuals and families with services in the Omaha area.
The Siena/Francis House is the largest homeless shelter in Nebraska. It was founded in 1975 and provides several programs for homeless individuals.
