The man accused of shooting and injuring an Omaha Gang Unit officer was booked Wednesday.
John Ezell was released from the hospital earlier today and charged with attempted murder and assaulting an officer.
Investigators say Ezell shot officer Ken Fortune in the shoulder during a traffic stop near 30th and Laurel on Sept. 11.
Fortune returned to work a week ago.
At the time of the shooting, Ezell's blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit.
