Update: The Omaha Police Department identified the victim in the shooting as 33-year-old Markus Walker. Walker had been taken to CHI Creighton University Medical Center where he later died from his gunshot wounds
Original Story: Omaha police say a man was found shot near 22nd and Fowler streets just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire near 24th and Fowler Avenue. Officers spoke with witnesses who said the shots fired were near 22nd and Fowler. This is where law enforcement found the gunshot victim.
The man was taken to CHI Creighton University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
