Malik Stelly will serve life in prison for what prosecutors called a "target practice" shooting and killing.

According to prosecutors nearly a dozen bullets hit 28-year-old D'Angelo Branch near 36th and Laurel while he was walking to his mother's house.

Stelly's cell phone and DNA evidence on his baseball cap tied him to the murder.
