A man is in fair condition after surviving a plane crash in rural Cass County.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Eric Stadjuhar was taken to the hospital after crashing an experimental single passenger plane in a field near Louisville around 7 p.m. on Sunday after taking off from Millard Airport.
“Mr. Stadjuhar was trapped in the plane and had to be extricated and taken to [Nebraska Medicine] by life flight,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
Hospital officials reported him in fair condition Monday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
