OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Area children will get to celebrate the holiday season with a new toy thanks to donations from some local Marines.
The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program teamed up with Gordman's at 156th and Maple to shop for toys for children in need this holiday season. They spent nearly $10,000 to get the campaign going.
"I want to say last year we received close to 39-thousand toys for supporting over 15-thousand children," Staff Sergeant Jose Lasdesma said. "This year we're trying to meet that goal and like always, goals are meants to be exceeded so we're trying to exceed that goal."
You can donate toys for the program at Gordman's through Dec. 4.
