After 15 years with Qwest (which became CenturyLink), the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority are looking for a new naming rights partner for Omaha's downtown arena and convention center.
"We've enjoyed a good working relationship with CenturyLink and would welcome the opportunity to continue that partnership," MECA CEO Roger Dixon said in a release, "but we also look forward to exploring other possibilities that will help us continue building on the established success of the facility."
At Wednesday's meeting the MECA board of directors approved an agreement with Professional Sports Partners to help get the next naming partner. The hope is to have the process take less than six months.
