Millard North student arrested for terroristic threats

Posted

A Millard North student was arrested Tuesday for making an unsubstantiated bomb threat to the school.

According to a letter sent to parents, Omaha Police arrested the student after an investigation and the school is making sure the student has proper care and resources.

Below is a statement from district spokesperson:

Millard North administrators were made aware of inappropriate comments and brought police into the investigation yesterday. A student referenced a bomb. Law enforcement determined there was no bomb and no merit to the statements. Safety is our top concern, and we are thankful this threat is unsubstantiated.

All comments of this nature will always be taken very seriously. Police have arrested the student for terroristic threats, and the school has followed through with appropriate consequences adhering to our code of conduct. We appreciate our strong partnership with law enforcement.
