OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A motorcyclist was pinned after being hit by a car Sunday night.

Around seven o'clock Sunday night, officers were called to the area of 26th and Fort. The investigation revealed a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox was parked on the south side curb of Fort Street facing east when the driver attempted to turn north onto N. 26th Street.

The Chevy pulled in front of an eastbound 2001 Honda motorcycle, resulting in the motorcyclist being pinned underneath the Chevrolet and was extracted by OFD.

The driver of the Chevy fled on foot from the scene prior to officers arrival. The motorcyclist was transported to Nebraska Medicine by OFD medics. The investigation is ongoing.
