The community held a prayer walk for Tuesday evening the two victims who were shot and killed this weekend near 24th and Franklin Streets in Omaha.
Police are searching for a killer, as relatives and friends remember the victims. Reporter Nick Starling was there.
This happened on Saturday night before 11 p.m..  Someone shot and killed 47 year old Allen McReynolds of Waterloo, Iowa and 52 year old Vic Beatty of Omaha. KMTV talked with the Beatty family Monday. Beatty's wife Kris says he was a decorated veteran who served in the Air Force for more than 20-years. Beatty also enjoyed power lifting and rode his motorcycle all the time. She says she was on her husband's mind in his final moments. "When my husband got shot his last words were call my wife and he said tell her I'm sorry and I love her" Kris Beatty said. His brother-in-law Andrew Smith said "he was somebody you can always count on, even though he may be quiet at times, he was very easy to make blush which showed a good heart behind a big body"
No one has been arrested for the deaths of Beatty and McReynolds, and police are asking the public for their help..
Beatty's wife believes justice will be served.
