OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Only a few days ago, 1,500 miles of Nebraska state highways were closed. Thanks to the hard work of NDOT, only 500 miles remain.
While there is still major work to do, opening roads back up is a necessary factor in starting the clean up process.
Officials continue to stress that people don't attempt to drive around barricades.
