OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles will officially launch its new motor vehicle registration and titling system next week.

The process started back in March of 2018, but will now be readily available in all 93 counties.

"VicToRy" will replace a program that has been in place since the 1990s and will be used to register 2.5 million vehicles annually. The new system will expand online services with one of the new features being the ability to check the status of specialty plates online.

VicToRy requires fewer forms to fill out, and the required forms will be easier to fill out. The new system also brings a number of enhancements aimed at preventing fraud prevention and detection. For more on the new registration system, click here.
