OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Humane Society reported to a home in the 2500 block of South 60th Street after a dog attacked a one-year-old child on Thursday night.

The child was on the living floor when one of the family's three Doberman Pinschers attacked the victim. The other two dogs were not involved, the Humane Society says.

The victim suffered multiple lacerations and skull fractures.

The owner of the dog, Shanel Brown, was cited for no proof of pet licensing and no proof of rabies vaccinations for all three dogs and an additional violation for harboring a dangerous animal.

The dog was surrendered and was "humanely euthanized for Rabies testing," the Humane Society says. The results are expected on Friday afternoon.

At the time of the attack, the child was being babysat by a niece.

No additional details were provided regarding the child's current condition.
