OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A North Omaha building that house two different churches for decades could soon be a community center.

Katrina Adams, the new owner of the 24th and Wirt building, tells our partners at the Omaha World-Herald that fixing up the more than century-old building is a huge project.

Many in the area know it as The Popcorn Ball Church because leaders at The Church of Jesus Christ Whole Truth sold them to raise money.

Adams is hoping to use restoration grants to finish the upgrade work.
