Omaha firefighter Tom Bartek was injured while bull riding at the Sarpy County Fair Saturday night.
A family spokesperson says the bull had thrown its head back, striking Bartek. He’s currently sedated and being treated at Bergan Mercy trauma center.
Bartek began bull riding in 2012 and competes in fairs to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
His family asks for privacy and would ask anyone interested in helping out to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. So far, they have raised more than $15,000.
