The Omaha Police Department is partnering with the Pink Patch Project, it announced in a release Thursday afternoon. 

The Pink Patch Project is a Breast Cancer awareness campaign in which public safety officers wear a vibrant pink version of their patch. 

OPD will be selling its patches online and the Omaha Federal Credit Union at 3003 South 82nd Avenue and the Locker Room at 13747 F Street. 

Additionally, Omaha Police will be selling shirts at local Hy-Vee stores on Oct. 13. 

The proceeds will be split between the Kamie K. Preston Hereditary Cancer Foundation and Scare Away Cancer.
