OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In an early version of the Omaha City Council's agenda for Tuesday, October 20, the council is scheduled to once again consider a mask mandate extension.

The ordinance will have its first reading that day by the council and would extend the current mandate, which ends on November 24, through December 29, 2020.

The extension request was made by Councilmembers Pete Festersen and Ben Gray.

Additional readings are scheduled on October 27 and November 10.
