OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — This morning Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo debuted a newly-born female giraffe calf at the zoo.

They say the calf is the third baby born to 19-year-old mother Dottie and 10-year-old father Jawara.

She was born on April 16 at 8:45 a.m. and weighed in at 152 pounds. The calf measured in at about six feet tall just after being born.

People will be able to view the calf at the Syd and Bette Cate Giraffe Herd rooms for a few weeks when she will be introduced to the rest of the zoo's herd. There are 11 giraffes currently at the zoo including the new addition.

The last giraffe born at the zoo was Penelope in November 2017.
